I don’t like any of the definitions of Neoliberalism that I’ve seen. Most are two long or not clear enough or just kind of off. I won’t try for a formal definition because that’s a pain.
My provisional interpretation of the central idea behind Neoliberalism:
Private economic transactions are the ultimate good.
I’ve been kicking it around in my head for a while and it seems as good as anything and explains a lot of the appeal and ultimately the problems with Neoliberalism as a functioning system or political ideology.
